Centre of Concern of Child, Youth and Family

1.       The appropriate and creative entertainment of 4 - 11 years old children, who will be given the chance to play and communicate each other and thus develop their sociability. Educators will be in charge.

2.       The individual and team advising on family, planning and psychosomatic health issues (Advisory Station).

The Advisory Centre (part of the P.E.) organized with the help of valid scientists who offered their help selflessly, various events-lectures of advisory character. The events that have been realized are the following:

• Saccharine diabetes, what it is and how to face it - Diet - Nutrition.
• Lumbago - Diagnosis and treatment.
• The role of estrogens in the menopause.
• European programs of youth - Possibilities and chances for young people today.
• Diet - Obesity.
• Prenatal control - use of ultrasounds in the Obstetrics.
• Problems in the adolescence - Adolescents' Psychology.
• Menopause and modern Woman.
• The problem of drug addiction and the application of prevention programs by social and political institutions in collaboration with the Centre of Prefecture Imathia "Access".
• Learning difficulties: diagnosis and intervention. The lecture was realized in collaboration and after the demand of Parents and Guardians Union of Municipality Naoussa.

At the same time, meetings with diabetics are realized in the Advisory Centre. The intention of these meetings was to inform and prevent the complications of the particular disease. In addition, 35 incidents have entered the Advisory Centre and have been provided with psychological and advisory support in constant, weekly base.

The Board of Directors is the supreme membership of this Public Entity which mainly modulates the strategy and policy and supervises and inspects the management of its finance. According to the Municipal Code, the Board of Directors is constituted by 9 members who are appointed by the Municipal Council and the Municipal Adviser Mr. Chalkias George has been defined as the Chairman.
